Exapto.com has been around since early 2007, and worked its way through many obstacles, hardships, and fields of business. Exapto first started out in 2006 as the small search-site "Xapto", where the goal of it was to "Excite Your Search". As the months went by, it became known that "exapto" was the correct Greek-translation for the word "excite", and not "xapto". Exapto.com was released in early January, 2007, right after New Years, and was a very bland site in fact. The concept of a one-stop-internet-lounge came into mind, and it failed in attempt, partly because the amount of programming work required was too immense for one youth mind, and partly because it was just given up on. There would be many instances of this in the future of Exapto, each with its own individual excuse and originality.
br>As the year carried on, the mind behind the curtains of Exapto became more knowledgeable and talented with technology, and Exapto.com evolved into a hopefully, business hotspot. It became a business, but not necessarily a hotspot. Web design business what dealt with several clients, as well as major projects dealt with others around the globe. There were beta tests of the new programming language, Zebulon, developed by Exapto's mind in Tokyo, advertisement campaigns moved to Germany, and much more as well as in the next few months. In those next few months, Sivinity Mailing Service came out, supplying small businesses and companies the power to deliver a single email to hundreds of thousands of people each year, for free! This of course gained Exapto.com much popularity, driving the average number of visits per month to 10,000.
br>Technology advanced, and so did Exapto. Zebulon worked its way through the bugs, and Sivinity delivered better than ever: it was 2008. The site gained 20,000 visits per month on average, and everything seemed to be going smoothly, until I made a decision that the business concept had to go. It wasn't because sales were down (there were none because all work was done for free), and it wasn't because of the traffic (it was even better than ever!), but the whole idea of it. It was too much weight on my shoulders. So the website evolved into a programming network, where Zebulon and Sivinity continued their great reign, and more projects came along. Games started to become developed, the site picked up in its monthly user traffic rate, and it just seemed to get better and better.
br>The year wrapped up, and 2009 was well on its way, and I decided to switch the look and feel of the site: transferred the network to the Joomla infrastructure. It attracted quite the attention, especially with the whole new layout of the games and project pages. But this was only to be temporary, for in the summer of '09, I went completely haywire and wanted to change everything. I got sick with it all, moved this, changed that, deleted those, everything was in a mess. I went through several blogs and sharing websites until I realized I should just let it go for a bit. I did, and now it's been started back up, Let's see what we can do with the power of the people!
